Our counselors specialize in utilizing the Word of God as our anchor and guide for the support that we provide our counselees. Our Healing Support Groups are committed to supporting you on your healing journey. Through practices such as the engagement of scripture, safe conversations, personal study, and various faith-based exercises, our HSG’s will accompany you through the process of growing in your faith and restoring hope and healing for your heart through a safe community.

Our counseling sessions are conducted virtually, which allows us to serve individuals across the United States. If you reside outside of the U.S., don’t hesitate to contact our office to see if we can provide services to you.

Balm Care is currently not in network with insurance providers and will not file a claim for you.
Some insurance companies will reimburse for a form of Christian or biblical counseling. We will provide you with a receipt of our services to submit to your insurance or employer upon request.

Our counselors have extensive experience in pastoral, crisis, biblical, and grief counseling and other relevant skills to help you on your healing journey. Our counselors have completed certified and/or formal education and have Christian counseling degrees.
Our counseling services should not be a substitute for psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, or substance abuse treatment, and neither Balm Care nor BWIM presents ourselves as licensed providers of mental health services. Dr. Darshan Nicole Williams, Ph.D., is a highly esteemed Clinical Christian Counselor and the Executive Director of BALM Care Community Action Center, where she spearheads initiatives to serve underserved children and families. With a profound commitment to integrating therapeutic practices with Christian faith, Dr. Williams offers a range of services, including individual and group counseling, focusing on issues such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, grief, and anger management through both cognitive behavioral therapy and biblically based counseling approaches. Recently, Dr. Williams has expanded her influence and contribution to mental health awareness through her latest endeavor as an author. Her new book, "The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Lose," addresses the pervasive mental health crisis in our society, calling for a pivotal change in how mental health is perceived and managed. This book marks the beginning of an essential dialogue among church leaders, community leaders, and government officials, as well as everyday people. Dr. Williams's writing emphasizes the urgent need for hope, compassion, and a collective effort towards healing and support.
